# Privacy Policy — Community Report Bot

This Privacy Policy explains what data Community Report Bot ("the Bot," "we," "us") collects when you use it, why, and how you can control it.

## What data we collect

When the Bot is added to a Discord server and used, we collect:

- **Discord Server ID** — to identify which server is using the Bot and to track subscription status
- **Discord User ID** — for the person running commands, to enforce free-tier usage limits fairly
- **Message counts per channel** — how many messages were sent in each channel during the reporting period. **We do not store the content of any message** — only a count.
- **Member join dates and last-active dates** — pulled from Discord's own member data, used only to generate the activity report
- **Subscription/payment status** — whether a server has an active paid subscription, linked via Stripe (see below)

## What we do NOT collect

- We do not read, store, or log the actual text content of any message
- We do not collect data from servers the Bot has not been added to
- We do not sell or share your data with advertisers

## Why we collect this

Solely to generate the weekly community report feature the Bot provides, and to enforce free-tier usage limits and manage paid subscriptions.

## Third parties involved

- **Discord** — the Bot operates through Discord's API. Discord's own Privacy Policy governs data on their platform: https://discord.com/privacy
- **Stripe** — if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed entirely by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details — only whether your subscription is active. See Stripe's Privacy Policy: https://stripe.com/privacy
- **Railway** — the Bot's code and database run on Railway's hosting infrastructure.

## How long we keep data

Usage and subscription data is retained for as long as the Bot remains in your server, plus a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping. You can request deletion at any time (see below).

## Your rights (UK GDPR)

If you are in the UK or EU, you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about your server/account
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to our processing of your data

## Children's privacy

The Bot is not directed at children. In line with Discord's own Terms of Service, users must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in their country) to use Discord, and therefore to use this Bot.

## Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the Bot after changes means you accept the updated policy.
